I give FBU a lot of credit and look down to many that only wanted to play the SP part of any of his mods or, take them apart to try and add them to their mod without giving his server a shot just to see how they are supposed to work in a Multiplayer atmosphere. Many have tried to use some of his mechanics in their mods but for those I've tested, they just can't seem to get them to function as he does. On the server, he has made an effort to make it most exciting than many others have been able to do and his additions work as they should.

I will install it when the time comes for those that still enjoy the simplicity of Freelancer with a few adjustments to make it more exciting.įBU has always been able to modify Freelancer and stay within it's original story for SP.

You will not find the server side for this mod even if you do download the client side for I am the only one privy to the server side of it. In my opinion, this was his best ever mod for an Advanced 1.0 mod with both SP and Multiplayer. 0.75 and was allowed to run it server side with the permissions of FBU and when I'm set back up as I once used to be, I will be planning to run it on a server once again. This is no more and if you do find the mods, there is non longer any server for it.

The only thing that Freelancer modders have not mastered is making new cut scenes, but the Crossfire team figured out a way to add "story line" content without cut scenes, by using the rumor and news systems. For my tastes, it is worth playing just for Mission 14 - and there is more beyond that. The surprises are spread out, so it takes some exploring, but there have been some very funny moments. I have had some of the funniest experiences in Crossfire. Yeah, Crossfire 1.8 is as close to a real "expansion pack" (for single player FL) as we are likely to get.
